Monday Madness #3 - Ft. Kombat, Pixel Cheese, Shockone, and Feed Me

Monday Madness #3:

Monday Madness #3 by Full Immersion Music

I know it isn't Monday, but I had to work out some problems with Soundcloud yesterday and ran out of time to post this. Better late than never! Welcome to Monday Madness #3.

Its a rare occurrence these days that I get truly excited about an up-and-coming artist, but Australia's Kombat certainly deserves the affection. His latest EP, titled Follow Me Down, combines Trance - Step, Grime and G Funk all on one release and shows the production skill of someone with twice his experience. All three tracks on the EP are great, but I can't get enough of We Ridin. I'm not usually a big fan of Messinian, but through a perfect combination of beat and flow he actually makes this track. The G funk feel is reminiscent of Dr. Dre and I can't help but think about the late Nate Dogg every time I hear this track. As far as the more EDM portions of the track, the basses are extremely hard hitting and work extremely well over the driving breaks that are sure to make any dancefloor pop off. This cut is a triumph of genre mixing, so sit back, crank up the bass and get fully immersed!

Next, after appearing on his LP Fire & Ice, Kaskade has released Room For Happiness Ft. Skylar Grey as a single with a wide variety of remixes. Each remixer brought their own unique flavor to the table, but my favorite off the release has to be Polish House producer Pixel Cheese's take on the track. He builds his own melody up under Skylar Grey's heavenly vocals and drops the whole thing in to a variety of anthemic synths, dutch bass and chopped up vocals. I love Kaskade's progressive original mix, but this one has a lot more energy and is ready for any club. Turn it up, get up and get fully immersed!

Gettin' really Australian in the Monday Madness this week. Leading us off is Perth's own ShockOne, personal friend and common collaborator of the equally well know Phesta. Both artists have revolutionized the fusion of Liquid, DnB and Dubstep in recent years and continue to excel at all three. After his smash hits Crusify Me Part 1 & 2 Ft. Phesta, Shock One is back with a bass filled remix of The Immigrant's Day Out of Time. Keeping the vocals from the original track, Shock One uses melodic rolling basses and synths over smooth drums to build a track that treads the line between chill and rage. Sit back, turn this one up and get fully immersed!

Jon Gooch, currently known as Feed Me, has had a long career of making extremely popular music. Originally rising to fame while producing DnB under the name Spor, Gooch started Feed Me as an Electro House side project in 2008. After recent success on Mau5trap, he ditched Spor and began producing as Feed Me full time. Today marked his third release under the label, titled Escape From Electric Mountain, and of the six song EP -- Embers is definitely my favorite. Part Progressive epic, part Electro House it pushes genre boundaries while still offering a fulfilling experience. The first three minutes of the song are full of a barrage of different melodic synths and basses that are further built with Lindsay's beautiful vocals. Then, at about 3:00 the whole thing drops into a more classic Electro House drop full of unique sounds and samples. This one may be a bit too progressive for some, but I'm lovin' it. Turn up your speakers, kick back and get fully immersed!

It isn't too often that I would have one artist making up half the Monday Madness, but Kombat's release is so diverse and he needs so much recognition that I think its justified. Unlike We Ridin', Follow Me Down is a Trance - Step track with a long, traditional trance build supplmented by a great vocal sample from Autumn. Don't worry though, around two minutes into the track Kombat lets loose the BASS. While still maintaining its Trance feel, the song transforms into a speaker pounding Dubstep assault that will leave you in awe. Crank up your bass, get ready and get fully immersed!
