Monday Madness #2 - Ft. Axwell, Doctor P, Rusko and K Theory

Welcome to Monday Madness #2: Today I've got a good mix of four hot tracks to lift your Monday spirits!

Starting us off, we have a big anthem coming out of Swedish House Mafia member and acclaimed solo producer, Axwell. This one is reminiscent of what fellow Swedish producers Avicii, Alesso and the rest of SHM have been putting out, and people just can't get enough. Entrancing vocals from Georgi Kay and euphoric piano lines work with chopped up synths to build into a powerful big room anthem that is sure to get even the largest arenas moving.

Next up, is a BANGER from Circus Records Kingpin Dr. P who has been releasing some chiller tracks these days such as Neon and Superbad (Collab with Flux Pavilion), which isn't exactly a bad thing, but it is nice to hear he's still committed to shattering subs too. This remix has been floating around for a long time and has yet to see official release, but at there happens to be a studio quality version available -- so it may as well be released. The first half is a pure onslaught of in-your-face bass and samples from the original track, but at 3:00 the tempo get dropped down to 108bpm and things get all Moombahton funky. I appreciate the disco feel Dr. P has been going for lately, but its refreshing to have a track like this from him when you just want to RAGE!

Third in line, some things seem too good to be true, others seem too strange to be true. However you choose to view a collaboration between Dubstep Super-producer Rusko and West coast rap group Cypress Hill -- its real and its happening. This track isn't a single either, its a freebie released to promote a full EP release from the partnership sometime in April! Upon first hearing about this I was a bit skeptical, but after giving this track a few plays I'm actually really excited for the release. Rusko produced a hard-hitting beat that compliments Cypress Hill's flow extremely well. In most Hip-Hop Dubstep you're lucky to get a single verse sampled in, and its great to see a more natural collaboration between the two genres. Time will tell if the rest of the release is this good, but its certainly in capable hands. Give this a listen and get excited for April!

And bringing up the rear is a chill bootleg from K Theory. You'd be hard pressed to find anyone who lived through the early 2000's and can't remember the Modest Mouse mega hit Float On. Its extremely chill vibes and carefree vocals made it a classic and San Fransisco's K Theory have maintained much of what makes it great in their Midtempo bootleg. Using most of the elements from the original, they also inject the track with plenty of deep bass and glitches to give it an even more danceable feel. If you're feeling a bit down or just looking for a groovy take on the Modest Mouse classic check this one out!
